Pinnix has been doing business as a General Contractor since 1927. We offer a complete range of construction services for commercial, industrial, private sector and government work. Our firm's typical projects are schools, churches, factories, health care facilities, banks, jails and upfits of office complexes and retail stores.
We are located in Gaston County and we concentrate our contracting work within a sixty-mile radius. This relatively small area has several advantages. This concentration has enabled Pinnix to hire and keep quality personnel by keeping them at home at night with their families. The small radius also ensures that we are ever mindful of customer satisfaction and the importance of repeat business.
Pinnix has thrived due to the flexibility of our organizational structure, customer loyalty, strong relationships with other construction professionals, low bonding and workers comp insurance rates, and the company's commitment to craftworker and professional training through organizations like the Carolinas Association of General Contractors.
Founded in 1927 by Robert H. Pinnix; the Company was purchased by John Pike Judson in 1985. Pinnix has been locally owned and operating in Gaston County since 1985. In July of 2021 longtime employees of Pinnix purchased the Company from John Judson. The current Ownership Group is led by Ron Pantuso, Brad Drury and Eli Witherspoon; all of whom have played a vital role in growing the Company from $865,000 in 1985 to an average of $16,000,000 in revenue over the last 3 years.
